AKA Sutton Place's newest amenity addition, a.lounge, was designed by the acclaimed Meyer Davis Studio, known for celebrated NYC restaurants Locanda Verde and Boqueria as well as noteworthy hospitality and residential projects nationwide.
A.lounge artfully complements Sutton Place's traditional warmth with a relaxing yet of-the-moment ambience, numerous cozy seating areas, an open fireplace and a spectacular marble bar with perfect espresso and pastries in the morning and a curated selection of wine and cocktails in the evening.
A tranquil private indoor garden with latticework and water feature completes the sense that AKA Sutton Place is far removed from the bustling city, yet fully connected with public wifi and mac workstations in a beautifully designed and furnished work area.
AKA White House has also completed an exciting renovation and unveiled a completely re-envisioned facade, entire lobby area and the addition of a.lounge. Enjoy 4,000 square feet of luxurious, open flow amenity spaces including a modern lounge area with stunning bar and fireplace and contemporary, comfortable seating with open views onto the streetscape.
This relaxing “residential living room” is an ideal place to enjoy a coffee and croissant in the morning or a cocktail and snack at the end of a long day. Design is warm and modern with marble floors, rich textures, captivating artwork and soft lighting.
AKA Central Park's a.lounge is a warmly lit and intimate gathering place featuring relaxed seating areas, quiet nooks, and two fireplaces as a focal point. The lounge has a modernist cocoon-like vibe with lowered ceilings; custom-woven Nepalese carpets; hand-rubbed, custom-stained maple floors; modern music and sensuous lighting.
Experienced mixologists serve contemporary cocktails, expertly shaken or stirred martinis, and a carefully curated selection of natural wines, micro-brew beers, and artisan spirits. The house specialty is a.vod crafted exclusively for the lounge by Marko Karakasevic, a 13th generation master distiller, at Charbay recently honored by Food & Wine Magazine as Vodka of the Year and by Spirit Journal as the #1 Vodka in the World.

Opening in Summer, 2012, our new bi-level penthouse lounge includes an italian coffee bar; a floating circular rooftop bar; a two-tiered outdoor terrace with a direct view of the New Year's Eve crystal ball; relaxed seating areas; and an enhanced fitness center.
