Beyond The Paint: Philadelphia’s Mural Arts
Started as part of the Philadelphia Anti-Graffiti Network in 1984, the Mural Arts Program has established itself as a global leader in the public arts arena. Beyond The Paint: Philadelphia’s Mural Arts at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts celebrates the work of 30 years of community-engaged art creation in Philadelphia. Through this inspirational and innovative organization, thousands of residents have participated in the creation of more than 3,600 murals—a testament to the talent in the city and the power of community.
