On Saturday, April 15, 2023, five of Old Town Alexandria's glorious private homes and gardens will be open to visitors as part of the 90th annual Historic Garden Week in Virginia. This is the oldest and largest house garden tour in the United States! Step into Harry Potter’s world by visiting the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum filled with Harry Potter nostalgia and rich in history. This historic apothecary was founded in 1792 and operated until it was preserved as a museum in 1933. Harry Potter fans can explore the real-life ingredients used throughout the 1800s and used as “potion” ingredients in the legendary series.
