AKA continues to follow social distancing and hygiene guidelines provided by the CDC, federal, state, and local health departments.

ARRIVING RESIDENTS

All residents who travelled from locations other NJ, CT, PA, VT, and MA must show proof of a completed Traveler Health Form or must complete a new form to check-in.

With the health and well-being of our residents and team members, please follow the guidelines provided by New York State Department of Health (DOH): 

  • Practice social distancing at all times. 
  • Masks/ Face Coverings are required except while eating or drinking. 
  • Wash hands frequently for 20 seconds. 
  • Follow appropriate respiratory hygiene and cough etiquette. 
  • Stay in your suite if feeling unwell. 
  • Call 866.692.3641, press 1 if experiencing symptoms or exposure to COVID- 19.  
  • Quarantine and COVID-19 test out option, pursuant to the DOH travel advisory.

We ask that residents arrive no later than 15 minutes of appointment time and cancel any appointments in Microsoft Bookings so other residents may reserve the appointment time.  Appointments may be scheduled up to 48 hours in advance.  

AKA follows the NYS and NYC Health Department mandates by requiring all residents to complete the NYS mandatory COVID-19 Health Screening form prior to utilizing our reopened AKA amenities.  

a. lounge

Maximum of 5 residents per appointment. Available 7 days a week.  24 hours a day. While the lounge will not be providing beverage service, residents are welcome to enjoy the space. 

a.conference

Maximum of 1 residence per appointment. Available 7 days a week.  24 hours a day.

a. cinema

Maximum of 1 residence per appointment. Available 7 days a week.  24 hours a day.

a. laundry

Maximum of 1 residence per appointment. Available 7 days a week.  24 hours a day.

a. pool 

Monday – Friday.  6 AM – 11:45 AM. 

Maximum of 2 residents per appointment.  Each appointment is 45 minutes. Please shower before entering and wear proper swimwear attire.  The lifeguard will be refreshing pool towels & disinfecting all high-touch areas.  Please depart the pool area on time to allow our housekeeping team to clean and disinfect the areas for upcoming appointments. Place used towels in the provided towel receptacle upon exiting the pool area. 

a. fitness 

Available 7 days a week.  6 am – 2 pm.

Maximum of 1 resident per appointment; no more than 33% legal maximum occupancy; inclusive of residents and Team Members.  Each appointment is 1 hour, and each resident will have access to book one appointment per day.  Check-in at the front desk for your scheduled appointment time so our Resident Services Team Member may provide access to the fitness center.   

Protective face covering must always be worn while working out.  New York State has instructed that bandanas, buffs, and gaiters are not acceptable for fitness centers.  

While AKA team members will be providing general sanitation coverage, we ask that all residents take responsibility for disinfecting the workstations before use and upon completion. The bottle filling station will be open.  We encourage you to bring your own bottle for hydration and your own fitness accessories such as mats, bands, jump ropes, etc.  Personal trainers are temporarily not permitted in compliance with NYS maximum occupancy mandate.

Deliveries

We continue to request that all residents/guests to retrieve grocery orders, food service deliveries, etc. in the lobby, to avoid unnecessary exposure to elevators and residential floors.
